8th Man wins sole SA distribution for Keyteach Hyperion training
17th March 2009 > IT-Online
8th Man Consulting has been appointed as the sole distributor for UK-based Keyteach to offer Hyperion training in South Africa.
"Oracle's Hyperion solutions have become the standard for enterprise performance management, or EPM," says Adrian van der Merwe, MD of 8th Man Consulting. "This means demand exceeds supply in terms of skills.
"The most direct means of addressing the clear Hyperion skills shortage is training, and we have had sustained requests for training from South African customers, which we have fulfilled for companies such as Mondi, MultiChoice and Anglo American. Keyteach is the only company to offer both classroom training and multimedia training on Hyperion, which includes Web-based training. This is the first time South African customers will have this option, and it will greatly enhance the number of people who can be trained.
"The team at Keyteach has delivered training to thousands of administrators and users worldwide. We can build on this knowledge to deliver the highest quality training to South African customers."
The company is headed up by Graham Sykes, former European Director of Education for Hyperion, and with many years of experience in developing custom training solutions.
"Keyteach puts the needs of users first," says Sykes. "Our personal and tailored approach enables education to evolve as part of a larger communication strategy. And as the applications and procedures taught mirror what users encounter in their day-to-day working lives, our approach is both cost-effective and compelling.
"We are delighted to be able to partner with Adrian and his team at 8th Man to make our training available to the many Hyperion users in South Africa."
Keyteach offers standard administrator and customised end-user training for Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Financial Management, Planning, Essbase OLAP, Financial Data Management and Reporting and Analysis.
"What Keyteach brings to its clients goes far beyond this," notes Van der Merwe. "The company works closely with clients to gain a real understanding of their needs and can design and produce manuals, documentation, workshops and presentations tailored to clients' applications and business processes."
In terms of the agreement, Keyteach provides its world-class training material, while 8th Man provides trainers and its dedicated training facilities in Maroelandal, north of Johannesburg.
